The Greek philosopher Aristotle, 384-322 Aristotle was born in the region of Macedon, in northern Greece and at the age of seventeen he travelled to Athens where he studied for several years in the Academy of Plato. He left the Academy in 347 and then he became the tutor of the future Alexander the Great. Afterwards he founded in Athens a public school known as the peripatetic school (walk about school) because he used to walk during his lectures. His collected lectures covered most of the knowledge of that period in science and other fields such as logic and ethics.
