Of the seven children born to them the following areliving: Alberta Matthews, James IL, William P., Charlie E.,Mamie Sanders and Oneidus A. Hall. Young Hall attended the country public schools and laboredas a blacksmith during the early years of his life. When hewas twenty-eight years of age, he was converted and soon afterentered the work of the ministry to which he has devoted morethan twentv vears of his SAMUEL DANIEL HALL. He is now in his third year at Thomaston. Notwithstanding the fact that he was denied the opportuni-ties of a College education, he has continued to study and hascompleted a correspondence course for preachers under thedirection of Morris Brown University. The degree of D. D. wasconferred on him for this work, and he has begun on the courseleading to the A. B. degree.
