Dietrich Bonhoffer (1906-1945) German Lutheran pastor and theologian. Bonhoffer opposed the Nazis and was involved in plots to assassinate Hitler. Arrested April 1943 and hanged in Flossenburg concentration camp on 9 April 1945.
