Another cheap and simple apparatus is that made of arope and a few pulleys. Figs. 11 to 16 will serve as examples,though the varieties which are possible with this arrangementare numerous. In most houses or apartments the screwsfor the pulleys can be applied without any damage to thewalls and doors.
