The gritstone outer walls of the old prison of Coulommiers (Seine et Marne - Île de France - France). A type of stone common in the Paris area, the gritstone (also known as buhrstone, burstone or burrstone), had been used in Paris bordering town building from the end of the XIX th century to the beginning of the XX th (until the 1930's). Mur en pierre meulière de l'ancienne prison de Coulommiers (77120) (Seine-et-Marne (77), Île-de-France, France). C'est une pierre caractéristique du style architectural des communes limitrophes de Paris, en effet beaucoup d'architectes ont utilisé la meulière pour les constructions de la fin du XIXè siècle au début du XXè siècle jusqu'aux années 1930.
