WASHINGTON, D. C. The Market. Business in general at Washington so far this month has Ixh'h ])()or. Funeral work has fallen off until there are practically no orders being booked. It is too early for weddings and social activity is at a low ebb. At the same time, flowers are plentiful, particularly asters and gladioli. Large quantities of the latter, of good quality, are being shipjied in from the north, competing witli the local stock. However, the growers in this vicinity are now prac- tically cut out. The northern stock brings from $2') to $40 per thousand; the local stock brings uji^ to .$60 per thousand. Pennsylvania and New York state RAEDLEIN BASKET CO.
