Amongst important notices, involving considerable labour in compilation,and representing useful work done in the department, are:— A complete list of the buoyage of Lake St. Louis. St. Lawrence ship channel;depth of water in the harbours of Lake Ontario and Georgian bay, and other hydro-graphic notes respecting the same; also soundings, observations on the currents andwarning to mariners respecting the currents off Matane and Ste.
