The grangers of Pennsylvania held their State meeting in the cityof Altoona during the second week of December. There was a verylarge attendance of visitors and representatives and the sessionswere uncommonly interesting. The annual report of State MasterW. F. Hill was read by Secretary J. T. Ailman and was a documentof considerable value to the order. It reported continued prosper-ity in this State, criticized the conduct of the officers of the Na-tional Grange, and made a variety of seasonable Master Hill was not at the opening session of the StateGrange, having been to Rome as a delegate to the internationalmeeting on agriculture, but he arrived before the close and wasgiven a cordial reception by his many warm friends among the dele-gates.
