A flight deck crewmember watches for the next launch as an F/A-18C Hornet is catapulted from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) in the South China Sea on Sept. 6, 2004. Stennis and its embarked Carrier Air Wing 14 is currently operating during a scheduled deployment in the western Pacific Ocean.
