In addition, a Tr>panosome whose vertebrate hostis yet unknown (T. grayi) has been studied in detail by Minchin(410). _ It IS impracticable here to consider fully all the various develop-mental phases and modifications of the life-cycle described as occur-ring in the above parasites. In view, however, of the great interestexcited by Schaudinns work on avian parasites, as well as onaccount of the far-reaching importance of fiis conclusions to thestudy of the Haematozoa, a brief summary of his celebrated researchis necessary.
