Edward E. Cross. MISCELLANEOUS. 217 PRESENTS AXD RELICS. An elegant gold watch and a splendid and costly swordhad been obtained by the Fifth Regiment as a present fortheir colonel. The sword is now in possession of the Crossfamily, The heavy English lever, double case, gold hunterwatch, presented by the regiment to Colonel Cross, has beenfor several years in possession of Colonel Henrj- O. Kent, ofLancaster, and bears the following inscription:— Presented to Colonel Edward E. Cross, 5th N. H. Vols., by theofficers and men of his Regt., as a token of their affection and admira-tion of his character as an officer after eighteen months ser^-ice underhis command. May i, 1863.
