This interefting acquilition to the Britifh Entomologift was dif-covered by Mr. W. E. Leach, the latter end of Auguft, about theyear J 807, in Warley-wood, at Tamerton, near Plymouth, Devon-shire. The fize of this infeft is confiderable, the colour above pale brown,vrith a rich dark fufcous band acrofs the middle, and immediatelybehind it, a broad and very pale common band, circumfcribed aboveby an angulated, and beneath by an indented palifh line. The wholefurface is fprinkled with fpecks of brown. The under furface ispaler, with more obfolete fpeckling, and fome blotches of fufcous,forming an interrupted common band in the middle.
