A Mongolian helmet, Period of the Golden Horde, 14th century,. Made of four embossed, overlapping iron segments riveted together. Obvious damage, especially on the lower rim, a small hole at the top. Otherwise the metal is quite well preserved. Height 18 cm. Weight 676 g. Conserved condition as discovered.
