5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (July 13, 2018) Logistics Specialist 1st Class Robert Moxen, from Scranton, Pa., makes preparations for the next hazardous material (HAZMAT) offload in the HAMZAT office aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), July 13, 2018. Iwo Jima is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the central region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
