Waggamba Shire Council offices, Goondiwindi, 1965. Waggamba Division was founded in 1879. In 1888 the urban area was separated into the Borough of Goondiwindi. The Division became the Shire of Waggamba in 1903 and was absorbed into the Goondiwindi Region in 2008.
