A Celtic sword,Central Europe,middle Latène period,3rd - 2nd century Forged iron. Blade and scabbard caked together due to corrosion. Scabbard made of sheet iron with flanged borders and two reinforcement ribs running across it. Riveted suspension loop on the reverse side,the bases with pierced decoration. Slightly tapered tang with typically curved guard and small oval riveted pommel plate. Cleaned and slightly restored unearthed find.
