In Chotesov Czech Republic there is an original convent of Premonstratensians It was founded around the year 1202 and rebuilt in the 1750s by J Auguston The frescoes are by F J Lux The convent houses an exhibition of the history of the village Chotesov and of its own past Gothic cellars make part of the complex Baroque parish Church of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary is crowned with a dome with a lantern The church is from the 14th century It was rebuilt between 1745 1747 The interior is decorated with Frescos by F J Lux from 1746 On the altar visitors can admire Gothic Madonna from the beginning of the 15th century The pulpit and the baptismal font are Rococo style elements in the church Another interesting sight in the church is a Baroque copy of a Gothic burial stone of the abbess Vojslava Pilgrim Church of St Cross the Superior is situated on the top of the Krizovy Hill Fresco (plural either frescos or frescoes) is any of several related mural painting types, executed on plaster on walls, ceilings or any other type of flat first developed in the ancient world and continued to be popular through the Renaissance.
