A yellow line only 12cm long has been painted between two parking bays in Limehouse, Tower Hamlets. (Shown with 50 pence piece for size comparison.) The yellow line, which may be the shortest in the UK, is the standard 14 cm wide, so is more of a yellow square and so smaller than many car tyres. It is not known if any parking tickets have been issued for this particular yellow line. London UK 15 February 2016
