Oil refinery storage tanks. The spherical tank is pressurized and contains liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), one of the products from the refining of crude oil. Petroleum gases (mostly butane and propane) are used as a fuel in a similar way to the use of natural gas (which is mostly methane). Photographed at ExxonMobil's Fawley Oil Refinery and Chemical Plant, Hampshire, UK, one of the largest petrochemical plants in Europe, and the largest oil refinery in the UK.
