Submaxillary Ranula.—Complete extirpation of the cyst is carried outthrough the submaxillary route. The operation is very simple, and doesnot require a special description (see Operations on the SubmaxillaryRegion). Malignant Tumours. If we except some cases of sarcoma and of ill-defined mixed tumours,primary malignant tumours of the tongue and of the buccal floor are almostexclusively epitheliomata.
