RENO, Nev. (June 21, 2018) Peter Flynn of Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Command in Monterey, Calif. demonstrates an underwater sensor to students at the 9th Street Boys and Girls Club in Reno. Flynn is a Navy civilian in town for Navy Week. Navy Week programs serve as the Navy's principal outreach effort into areas of the country that lack a significant Navy presence, helping Americans understand that their Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock, ready to defend America at all times.
