Blue-headed tree agama male defending territory by displaying his colours. The blue-headed tree agama (Acanthocerus atricollis, formerly known as Agama atricolllis) is a lizard. These blue-gold colours only appear in the breeding season. This lizard is found in trees on the African savannah and along the edges of forests. It eats insects such as ants and beetles. It can reach a body length of over 30 centimetres. Photographed in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
