With the advancement of Commerce the harbor of Baltimore began to attractatten-tion and a board of port wardens wa s appointed. Lines of stages were establishedbetween Philadelphia and Baltimore, Frederick Town and Annapolis. The streetswere extended and paved and substantial bridges put across the falls. The singlemarkethouse was abondoned and three new ones erected in which market was held ondifferent days. The three markets were th^ Centre Market, the Fells Point Marketand the Hanover
