Thomas, of the Rosery, is refus- ing to make any designs while flowers are so scarce, because it takes too many flowers. He uses flowers in sprays or combined with magnolia leaves for de- signs, but not alone. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker Smith, of Pleas- ant Hill, spent last week in Kansas City. The truck of the Pinehurst Floral Co. is making two trips a day between Pleasant Hill and Kansas City, carry- ing plants from the greenhouse. The company is cutting comparatively few roses or carnations, but is cutting some sweet peas, narcissi, freesias, tulips and jonquils. The range is s?nding up heavy supplies of cinerarias, primroses and cyclamens, which all find a ready sale. The Muehlebach Flower Shop dis- played some fine cut flowers last week,
