Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Daughters of theAmerican Revolution, with which she had been identifiedalmost from the time of its organization, and she wasalso a member of the United States Daughters of 1812,Colonial Dames, and Daughters of American the last named society, Mrs. Bailey was regent forseveral years, having been elected to that office upon theformation of the chapter. She was twice elected presi-dent of the Travelers Club, and was also president ofthe Pittsburgh Sorosis. Her civic work was directed inthe cause of vacation school playgrounds, the Soho Public.
