Mary Isabel McCracken (1866-1955), US entomologist. McCracken was educated at Stanford University, California, USA, and taught there until her retirement in 1931. Her research involved the study of a wide range of insects, including beetles, mosquitoes, silkworms, aphids, and bees. She was a member of the California Academy of Sciences from 1915, and was named a Fellow in 1929.
