From a tuft of large flowers and leaves in the middle, a set of branches with large flowers and leaves and (below) a calabash-like fruit originates both upwards and downwards. The branches first bend towards the edge but come together again at the bottom in a flower, from which fine branches spring back that fill the cartouches formed by the pivoting of the branches.
