The Association for the Promotion of Girls and Women Advancement (APGWA) and Sobeya Skills Training Centre is training young girls and women to acquire life and livelihood skills, supporting young girls through training who are victims. In her introductory remarks, Mrs. Binta Jammeh Sidibeh, the APGWA Executive Director, dilating on the history of APGWA, said the organization was formed in 1992 with the objective of training young girls and women to acquire life and livelihood skills, supporting young girls through training who are victims traditional and societal practices and behaviours and contributing to the socio-economic development of Gambia.
