Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter 469, practice a simulation drill on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, July 24, 2018. The training was meant to hone the Marines’ rescue skills in the event of a hard landing or mishap. HMLA-469 is currently under the unit deployment program with Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, which is a rotational tour within another unit meant to increase skill sets in different areas of operation.
