Diagnosis. P. snyderi is an elongate, wide-ranging, rarely-collected species with slightly falcate dorsal and anal fins. Char- acters that distinguish P. snyderi from P. medius, P. ovatus, and P. simillimus, are listed in the diagnosis of each of these species, respectively. Description.
