An Ottoman silver inlaid miquelet-lock rifle, mid-18th century. Octagonal, nine-groove rifled Damascus barrel, slightly swamped at the muzzle in 18 mm calibre with fixed rear sight and dovetailed brass front sight. At the breech a silver-inlaid maker's and owner's inscription. Miquelet lock with ornamental silver inlays. Maple full stock, lavish circular brass inlays, the butt and muzzle inlaid with strips of bone (partially added at the butt).
