Shortly after this his wife(iied, and he married Eliza, daughter of Nathan Wheel-er, in 1816. Four years after he moved to Cincinnati,Ohio, where after a short residence his health so failedthat it was deemed advisable for him to leave the city;and he retired to Batavia, where he died in 1821. Hewas a man of much enterprise and public spirit, andwhile here he took a deep interest in the prosperity of.
