Chef Robert Irvine participated in several audience-selected cooking challenges during his visit with Air Force and Army deployed members at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Since communication is a key to military mission accomplishment, one event challenged Irvine to communicate how to create one of his dishes to a selection of audience members that would rotate every few minutes – however, his speech was limited by the use of an orthodontic retractor.
