Photograph by David Coleman. The Hussard's Room at Ferme du Caillou presents a significant collection of Napoleonic-era military artifacts and remains. The exhibition features an extensive array of side arms and firearms used by both French and Allied forces during the 1815 campaign. A poignant centerpiece of the display is the skeleton of a French hussar discovered near the Ferme de la Haie-Sainte, providing tangible evidence of the battle's human cost. The room includes an official bust of Napoleon that once represented imperial authority throughout his empire, alongside bronze models including Jean-Léon Gérôme's Monument of the Wounded Eagle and Charles-Marie Seurre's original model for the Napoleon statue at Les Invalides in Paris. The collection also features period engravings, decorations, and medals related to the 1815 campaign.
