Though evidently allied to the < 'uni- ferarum group, its peculiar bombycid appearance distinguishes it at once from all species yet known. Doubtless, like its nearest allies, it will be found to exist in the larva state on some species of Sphinx Ilalicarnic, Si reck. I have examined the types of most of the following species de: scribed by Mr. Morrison, and they appear to me valid species pre- viously undescribed. I have given the synonyms so far as known to me where the species have been since renamed: 1. Lucen'a Burge^i, Morr, B. B. S. N. S., 109, 1874. Referred to Hadnia in the Cheek List. 2. Agroti* Morr., Proc, B. S. N. H., 18, 115. This is Pachnobia oriiliana, Grote, described Can. fiJntJ, 154, 1875, and which should hive priority. Mr. Morrison's first description of the spe- cies, ibid., 17, 162, could not possibly be identified, and should have no authority. 3. Tarache obalra, Proc, B. S. N. H., 18, 124. I have seen the type in Mr. Tepper's collection. It appears to be a species of Spragueia allied to plumb ifimb rial a. 4. Mamrdra riigom, Morr., Proc. B. S. N. H., 18, 119.
