The Dry Garden at RHS Hyde Hall Gardens in Essex, UK. One of the driest parts of England this expanse of garden survives on natural rainfall, there is no watering. The plants are those adapted to survive in dry conditions and are at the height of their flowering season in mid-summer. The large yellow plants are Verbascum olympian. In the foreground are orange examples of Eschscholzia californica, better known as Californian Poppy
