Belfast, UK - 10 June 2017 In Northern Ireland, they have managed to turn a world-famous shipping disaster into a fine tourist attraction. Ulster folk will always tell you that there was nothing actually wrong with the iconic Belfast-built ship; it was all the fault of the English captain, Scottish navigator and frozen Canadian water. Nice buck-passing! Titanic Belfast is located on Queens Island, a previously derelict area of land at the entrance of Belfast Lough. Its striking design is intended to evoke Belfast's proud history of ship making and the industrial legacy bequeathed by Harland & Wolff. Its angular, metallic-plated form recalls the shape of a ships prow; however, many locals been suggested that the building looks more like an iceberg, and have nicknamed it accordingly. Nice.
