After thinking it over, a large per- centage of the buyers have placed orders for the same quantity of stock as last year. Some have bought more, but no great number have bought less. In the aggregate the number of orders and the quantity of stock called for booked up to March 31 was about the same as up to that time last year. Every whole- saler knows of many buyers who are still holding oflF. They must send orders before the end of the week and a big run of late business is expected. Nearly every wholesale house has made unusual preparations for handling the last- minute demands, which it is thought will be a more important factor than in any recent year. The general idea is that there will be enough flowers to fill all orders and most of the wholesale houses will be open until noon on Easter.
