The project will provide a 6,000 square foot shaded pavilion for Morale, Welfare, and Recreation on board Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The pavilion will be used for outdoor workouts and special events improving the base amenities and lifestyle for the Sailors there. NMCB 5 is the forward deployed Western Pacific NMCB ready to support major combat operation and Humanitarian Assistance, disaster relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint Operational Forces. Home-ported out of Port Hueneme, Calif., NMCB 5 has 12 detachment sites deployed throughout the United States and Western Pacific area of Operations.
