Hanging coloured Perspex plastic panels used in garden design in Tatton Park, Cheshire, Reflecting Photonics Garden _ Natalie Wheller from the Opto Electronics Research Centre (University of Southampton at the RHS Flower Show. The structure of the garden has been inspired by the design and concept of cutting edge fibre research.


Reflecting Photonics One of three gold medals awarded to the 'Year of Light' category was ‘Reflecting Photonics’. This innovative garden was designed to reflect research into light-transmitting optical fibres being carried out by the University of Southampton. Designed by Helen Elks-Smith and Kate Hart, built by Turf ’n’ Earth and sponsored by Optoelectronics Research Centre at University of Southampton
