Manzushir Monastery outer door with smiling face and prayer shawls, Bodg Khan Mountains, Mongolia


Togchin, a huge Buddhist monastery complex of over 20 temples and 300 monks used to exist in this area before it was destroyed by the Mongolian Communists in the 1937. A small monastery, Manzishir Monastery, was rebuilt in recent years. The blue scarves represent the sky in the Tengri religion.
