The Southern Crested Caracara, Caracara plancus, also known as the Southern Caracara or Carancho, is a bird of prey in the family Falconidae and is the second largest falcon in the world. Photographed here in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile, it is also very common in Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina.
