Tyrrell says, Roughly speaking, the cost of one-story building, complete, is, for sheds and storage-houses, 40cents to 60 cents per square foot of ground, and for such build-ings as machine-shops, foundries, and electric-light plants thatare provided with traveling cranes, the cost is from 60 cents to90 cents per square foot of ground covered. Kidders Architects and Builders Pocket-Book gives the costof a large car barn of exposed iron construction and brick wallserected in 1895 as 9 cents per cubic foot. Mr. Fred T.
