It is rigid, accuratein its reduction, and allows the use of the shortestpossible cord. It must be accurately made, but canbe placed in position in the most careless pantagraph is of such a nature that its correct-ness of indication is not in the least degree affectedby vertical or forward and backward displacementof the supporting stand.
