Weymouth, Dorset, UK. 28th February, 2016. Three people were publicly executed by hanging at Weymouth, Dorset today (sun) to mark the anniversary of the Crabchurch Conspiracy in February 1645. A ceremony to mark the day when a Royalist attempt to overrun the towns of Weymouth and Melcombe Regis were foiled and the traitors including a woman were hanged by the Parliamentary army at the nearby Nothe Fort.
