A family making piñatas in a stall in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. The stars are called piñatas and are a Mexican Christmas tradition They're made from a clay pot filled with candies. At Christmas blindfolded children will hit them with long sticks to break them and release the goodies. Zihuatanejo is a small town on Mexico's southwest Pacific Coast in the state of Guerrero. The modern resort of Ixtapa is five kilometres away. It was a sleepy fishing village until the early 1970 s which is when the construction of Ixtapa begun. Zijuatanejo is now a popular destination. The beautiful bay is one of it s main attractions.
