World War II-era food rations are displayed by soldiers from the California State Military Reserve's Military Heritage Command, Detachment South, as part of the Race on the Base running expo, Feb. 23, 2019, at Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, California. Race organizers estimate 8,000 people attended the race and expo.
