Sternum a little longer than broad; posterior sigillasituated in the posterior third of tlie sternum and at but littledistance from the lateral margins. Lejs. Hah. An adult female from Efulen, Caraaroons, andanother from the forest 25 miles inland to the east of Kribi,Camaroons. These specimens were collected by Mr. G. RemarTcs. This spider differs from H. maculata, the onlyother species of the genus, in the much greater thickness ofthe fourth pur of legs and in the great dilatation of theirfemora.
