MARY-LAND is a Province situated upon thelarge extending bowels of America, under theGovernment of the Lord Bcdtemore, adjacent North-wardly upon the Confines of Neic-En gland, andneighbouring Southwardly upon Virginia, dwellingpleasantly upon the Bay of Chcesapihe (see note ), between the Degrees of 36 and 38, in the Zonetemperate, and by Mathematical computation is elevenhundred and odd Leagues in Longitude from England,being within her own imbraces extraordinary pleasantand fertile.
