He was again married, December 20,1877, to Mrs. Mary Ann (Foster) Cheney, a native of Randolph, Vt., whosurvives him and resides in Pittsburg, Pa. Two children were born of thismarriage: Annie Louise, born December 8, 1878, married George N. Putnam,resides in Newton, Mass.; Nathan Lewis, born August 1, 1880, resides in WestSomerville, ALFRED PERKINS, A. B. Alfred Perkins, son of Gen. Simon and Nancy (Bishop) Perkins, was bornin Warren, Ohio, in 1811, and died there, unmarried, March 31, 1840. He entered the Academy in 1826, and graduated in 1829. lie thenentered Yale University and graduated A. B. in 1833. His health faihng, he traveled in southern Europe during 1837 and 1839?in hopes the change of climate would prove beneficial. Perkins, son of Nathan and Hannah (Stuitevant) Perkins, wasborn in Woodstock Vt., January 18, 1805, and died in Harrisburg, Pa., June18, ISTfD. He prepared for college in the schools of Windsor and entered the Acad-emy in 1825, and graduated in 1828. He was an accomplished musician andplayed in the cadet band.
